Ways to Teach English Language Learners
Content Presentation
o Having audio books.
Students who are having difficulty learning the English language can benefit from audio books. Students might not be able to read the book but might be able to understand the story if it is being read out loud to them. Also the students might be able to learn how to pronounce words they are not familiar with by looking at the text and being able to listen to the pronunciation.
o Videos to help them understand the lesson.
Students can learn so much from looking at videos compared to listening to a lecture. English learners can benefit from videos related to the material that is being learned.
o Chunking: delivering the information in small pieces.
Students can be overwhelmed when teachers talk and talk and present a numerous amount of information. Educators can chunk information and make it easier for students to understand the learning material by teaching in smaller chunks.
o Pre-teaching: using visuals and other auditory tools to teach the students.
o Pairing students with other students.
English learners can benefit from having a partner. The students can help each other understand the material. The pairing of students needs to be with someone who is at an average grade level with the English learner.
o Having more collaborative work.
Collaborative learning can always help students learn materials. Students help each other understand and guide each other through the lessons.

Children with physical disabilities might have to have extra space to move around the classroom, so space in important. The child can be seated on a specific place depending on their needs. There are some children who need to sit in the front of the class due to hearing or visual impairments.
o Using Audible books.
Using stories that are read aloud can help students with special needs read and understand the content of the story. This will allow for further learning of the material.
o Using visuals.
Visuals are very important when working with special needs students. There many different types of visuals teachers can use to help them teach their lessons. teachers can use pictures, power points, videos, charts, maps etc. All of the visuals mentioned can help students with special needs obtain the extra help they need to understand the lesson that is being presented.
o Grouping students in order to be able to work in smaller groups or individually.
It is really important that all children feel like they belong inside the classroom as well as the feeling that the teacher cares about their learning. when teachers group students into smaller groups in gives the educator more time to spend with students individually. The teacher can spend a little more time with special needs students if the other students are working in groups.

I am fairly new to blogging but have found it extremely fun and a new way to show what I know. Gifted students can also benefit from blogging in order to have a new way to demonstrate their learning and their capability.
o Lesson
Students can create their own lesson plans and do a lecture of what they have learned. The students can present to the class in any way they would like the lesson they have to teach. It is a way for the students to take control of the class and of their learning.
o Games
Students can create a game in order to show the learned material. The students can teach the game to other students and the teacher. The students will be in charge of creating the game and teaching it to the class.
